DCROD/Courts
The mission of the DCLTA / DCROD Task Force is to maintain and
improve the lines of communication and cooperation between the
association and the DC agency that is most important to our business
sector. DCLTA has historically supported the efforts of the Office
of the Recorder of Deeds to achieve goals that are beneficial
to the agency and the public. The issues by which we are bound
together can best be brought into focus by the efforts of the
Task Force.
To be able to identify, discuss and meet the goals and challenges
facing our sectors in a smaller group setting offers a unique
opportunity to address specific issues. The members of the Task
Force represent a range of viewpoints and agenda, and, unlike
a typical DCLTA membership meeting, issues can be addressed through
on-going dialogue and action.
The joint efforts of the DC Recorder of Deeds and title industry
professionals will seek to address issues such as Land Records
automation, electronic recording, record preservation and availability,
and a wide range of issues facing our members and DCROD. Moreover,
our work is intended to project a new energy into a long-standing
and important relationship for the benefit of the Office of Tax
and Revenue, the Office of the Recorder of Deeds and the members
of the DC Land Title Association.
